Strawberry, garlic and mint.

I always like to use my garden to provide some of my favourites but up here in Shetland I'm never sure of what will actually grow but I'm about to find out.

I've just ordered seeds to start me off (hopefully) with mint, garlic and something that I really am looking forward to growing, strawberry.

I think that I've ordered enough of all but we'll have to wait and see there. If I haven't then I'll just have to order more. I know that mint was successful here in Shetland because my grandfather on my mothers side grew it very successfully but I know nothing of the other two, other than the fact that I love them.

All of it should arrive within a week to ten days and I think that I'll get it all planted immediately. It won't produce this year but next year, hopefully, it will sprout away and offer me something to enjoy.

Life is a disaster

Life is a complete disaster - or it was anyway. I picked up a bug from somewhere and it made life on the computer absolute hell. It's all cleaned up now but I wish that I knew just who inflicted it on me, I'd be right around to tell their mother.

I work as a Moderator on another site and the Administrator was good enough to suggest that I try Malwarebytes so that was what I did and it sorted the problem out perfectly.

No doubt the bugs will be back but I can now deal with the problem.

What the U.K does to us, designed by Osbourne.

I didn’t pick this one up yesterday because I was more interested in what he was doing to Scotland, but this does affect Scotland, it affects the pensioners in Scotland who might be your mother or father, it might be both of them or it might be your granny or granddad and what he has done is utterly disgusting.

The current rate for over-65’s is £10,500 per annum while the over-75’s get £10,660. Those of us that retire in the future will not claim the higher rate, they will, from April 2013, get the new rate. It is a booming £9,200.

Is that not great. The price of everything, including food, goes up while their pension goes down, in effect, a cut in income.

That is what the U.K does to us. That was designed by Osbourne.

Scotland, a nation alone.

It's not what I remember!!!

When I was a wee boy, I remember that my mother showed me how to knit. She was almost always knitting something and I wanted to be able to do that as well so she showed me and off I went, knitting away. After a week or so I lost interest and never went back.

Unfortunately, my mother is no longer with us and I have forgotten how to knit entirely so it is a full-scale learn again situation. Since my last post, when I expected to have no problems at all, reality has struck and I have been struggling to get - nowhere.

I'm not giving in though. I will conquer it, perhaps not as quickly as initially expected but I will succeed.

Don't hold your breath though.
