Simmer Dim

Firstly, I have to apologise to everyone for not writing here lately. I have had thoughts on other things and that has taken me elsewhere but I'm back, at least for today.

Today we will enjoy Simmer Dim. The sun came up this morning at about 03.35 and will go down again at around 22.38 this evening. The sun will be back up tomorrow morning at 03.36 which means that tonight will be very short indeed.

It certainly won't be very dark tonight, regardless of the weather. There are twenty-three and a quarter hours of visible light today and I personally see it as a twenty-four hour day because, to me anyway, it won't get truly dark tonight. Dusky perhaps but enough light to stop me getting lost.

I am hoping that tonight the weather will be good as I would like to be out for a few hours tonight to enjoy Simmer Dim. If it happens the way that I would like then I'll tell you all about it tomorrow and hopefully have some photo's to show you.

I don't like Monday's

I don't like Monday's, not at all. When I think about it, I'm probably not the only one either. Compare today with the weekend when the sun was beaming down, there was no wind and it was lovely and warm.

Today it's comparatively cold, it's windy and the sun is in hiding. Not the same sort of weather at all. I did have thoughts regarding the garden but I must be honest when I say that those thoughts have dribbled away now. Oh dear, what a shame.

Must be honest again when I say that today I plan today to do bugger all.

There's always tomorrow :))

Tonight

Tonight it's about half past eight, it's getting dark and they are all getting around the tree. What will they do, I don't know, we'll wait and see tomorrow :))

Lazy Bugger

What a lazy bugger I am. I've done nothing whatsoever to get the pansy's or the viola's, even the cactus going. At this rate they'll be just as nice in the packets next year as they are now!!!

But that is not going to happen - oh no, when I put this computer down I will kick it off like there is no tomorrow so anyone coming around with some mince and tatties tonight, I love you - the same is true of anyone delivering breakfast tomorrow morning, plenty salt in the porridge please and it will be completed by the weekend.

Just hope that it grows ;))

Although, looking at them now, there's a very good chance that some of them might actually stay in the house, they look too good to go outside in this weather. We'll see and we'll hope.

They're young, very spiky and in really good health

Tomorrow won't be much different, I don't think. It really has been on and off, on and off all day and it doesn't look like changing much.

The piccies that I promised of the new forest in the huge back garden will turn up but the way that things are going it may well be a bit nearer to July before they get taken. That's Shetland for you.

The trees do cheer me up though, they're young, very spiky and in really good health - at the moment. Hopefully I'll get the pic's taken before things change. Last year they took no time to go downhill and the worst bit was the fact that I never really worked out what happened or why.



Fingers crossed, this years trees will be better :))
