Wind Power Coming On

Viking Energy has the go-ahead to to put up approximately 103 wind turbines here in Shetland. That produces enough power for 175k people but there are only 22k living here in Shetland. The remaining power for 153k will be, in effect, pumped down to Scotland.

That means a profit of something like £30m per annum for Viking Energy Partnership. That is split up and Viking Energy Ltd own 50%.

That breaks down again. Shetland Charitable Trust have 90% of  of Viking Energy Ltd. That means that Shetland Charitable Trust are going to receive a very healthy income from the wind power that is produced, without polluting or destroying the Island.

Good, eh :))

They're young, very spiky and in really good health

Tomorrow won't be much different, I don't think. It really has been on and off, on and off all day and it doesn't look like changing much.

The piccies that I promised of the new forest in the huge back garden will turn up but the way that things are going it may well be a bit nearer to July before they get taken. That's Shetland for you.

The trees do cheer me up though, they're young, very spiky and in really good health - at the moment. Hopefully I'll get the pic's taken before things change. Last year they took no time to go downhill and the worst bit was the fact that I never really worked out what happened or why.

Fingers crossed, this years trees will be better :))

RIP Jocky Wilson

If anyone reading this has ever enjoyed playing or watching someone playing darts then you will know Jocky Wilson. Unfortunately, he passed away last night.

He wasn't what would be called an old man, he was only two days into his sixty-second year but he did have problems with his health.

Don't give up Jocky!!!

T.V Licensing Harassment Division

They are still at it, they are still sending threatening letters, trying to harass you into doing what they want you to do - but you are not legally required to do what they want and that is the reason that I will not play ball with them.

What a load of garbage. I am not breaking the law and as I mentioned to you when I first brought this subject up and I told them that when they phoned, explaining to them just what the situation was and the fact that it was unlikely to change - but if it did and I therefore needed a telly license then I would get one, pronto.

They obviously didn't listen as they continue to spew out this threatening, harassing crap.

I told them the first time around that I do not watch the telly. That might be a bit strange, a bit odd even. Perhaps it is only people with mental health problems that don't watch the telly.

Well then, that's me, I'm obviously one of them - but I am not breaking the law.

I am, quite legally, not watching the telly and I'm doing it without a license.

I am also, quite legally, not responding to their threats and I never will. I provided the information once. I did it courteously and willingly but I don't like being threatened, harassed, pestered and pushed around, time after time after time.

And don't forget, it's all funded by the BBC.

Nicola Sturgeon believes that only independence will save the Scottish NHS

Ms Sturgeon strongly believes that the Coalition’s health reforms present a “very real risk” to Scotlands NHS and stated that separation was the only way “Tory policies can’t damage our health service.”

Unfortunately, Westminster is still providing Holyrood’s grant to fund the Scottish NHS, which makes it a real health killer. The real improvements to health and other devolved policy areas like education will only improve, as they should, when the Union is dissolved.

Nicola Sturgeon, the SNP’s deputy leader also stated that Scottish separation would, at last, bring an end to poverty and ”put a stop to heartless Tory welfare reforms” coming in to supposedly cut the annual £110 billion benefits costs.

It carries on proving that Scotland has to be a Nation Alone.

Epilepsy.org.uk

That was a bit of a screw-up. Had plans to go to college today, I'd been invited out for lunch, in essence there was a lot to look forward to and then - I had a fit. The main problem is that it takes time out of my life when I'm unconscious and after I need a lot of sleep. This time round I've slept for about fourteen hours.

Oh well, there's always tomorrow.
