It is illegal for the BBC to knowingly cause harassment

They have been at me again and in doing so they have illegally threatened me. And they do so, illegally, on behalf of their employer, the BBC, who, as I understand it, are as good as part of the government. I'll show you what they have spewed out this time.

It is illegal to harass people but these people do it, again and again and again, to people like you and me who are perhaps not interested in watching the telly. Who perhaps have better to do with themselves than to sit and stare at Coronation Street or enjoy watching the rugby or the football, perhaps even need to know just which cuddy has run off with this weeks wages.

There are, of course, great amounts that are shown on the telly that you don't need a license for, anything that has been shown before which means that the only things you need a license for are the horses and the news, oh, and sometimes the football. Not the adverts because we've all seen them before.

I mentioned before that I don't need a license. I don't need one because I do not watch the telly - at all. If I don't need one then I will not have one - after all, why should I - but that does not stop the Scotland North Harassment Division of T.V Licensing, nee Capita, 71 Victoria Street, Westminster,  London SW1H 0XA. That's who Sarah Armstrong works for, she signs the letters. Regional Enforcement Manager is a big name for signing and posting the letters. Wonder if she licks the stamps too?

If you get caught, it wasn't me that suggested pissing in their letter-box, ok ;))

And don't forget, the BBC are Capita's employer. Capita, or T.V Licensing as they like to be called are just a plain and simple, common old company.

They've done it again

They've done it again. The BBCordless have been at it again. You couldn't believe it, could you? I find it a bit difficult myself but hey, it's a lovely sunny day. You don't hear many complaints when the sun is out, do you ;)

I doubt that you'll hear much from me today because I'll be topping up my non-existing (Yet!!!) suntan and watching the Scots pines that I moved into the garden yesterday dying graciously - or possibly they will just tell me to bugger off, we'll see :)

Another week

Oh Jings, it's Monday morning and the bloody sun is out again. I bet that they charge us for this. Do they switch it off at lunch-time out of spite?

Today will be cool, probably cool with no wind, regardless of what the BBC say, and there will be no rain, we can't afford the water.

Right, time to investigate the political disaster that they have impaled on us this week.

Some more info on the Scotland Bill

So, what are they going to try to palm us of with and stop us becoming a nation alone?

Well, Holyrood are getting the power to deal with borrowing and income tax. That means that there will be new rates of income tax. There will also be the power to create new taxes.

Not only that but Scotland will have the power to control - wait for it - air guns. The Tories ain't messing around here, are they.

We will also have a role to play in the new appointments for the BBC and the Crown Estate. In other words, we can recommend someone and they can tell us to bugger off.

They are trying to stop us from going for independence, while in fact they are strengthening our wish for, our need for and our fight for independence.

We will leave them. It won't hurt us - and we won't go back.

At last!!!

At last they, the BBC have finally managed to include Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. Didn't take long but it did display how useless they are when they can miss the capital.

Another reason for independence :(

T.V Licensing Harassment Division

They are still at it, they are still sending threatening letters, trying to harass you into doing what they want you to do - but you are not legally required to do what they want and that is the reason that I will not play ball with them.

What a load of garbage. I am not breaking the law and as I mentioned to you when I first brought this subject up and I told them that when they phoned, explaining to them just what the situation was and the fact that it was unlikely to change - but if it did and I therefore needed a telly license then I would get one, pronto.

They obviously didn't listen as they continue to spew out this threatening, harassing crap.

I told them the first time around that I do not watch the telly. That might be a bit strange, a bit odd even. Perhaps it is only people with mental health problems that don't watch the telly.

Well then, that's me, I'm obviously one of them - but I am not breaking the law.

I am, quite legally, not watching the telly and I'm doing it without a license.

I am also, quite legally, not responding to their threats and I never will. I provided the information once. I did it courteously and willingly but I don't like being threatened, harassed, pestered and pushed around, time after time after time.

And don't forget, it's all funded by the BBC.

Oil industry protection, assistance and rescue

I just spotted an article in the BBC News online that could cause problems, both here in Shetland and in Scotland as a whole.

The oil industry needs protection, assistance and rescue in all weathers. I don't think it is in any way acceptable to consider changing that.

You do have to look after your fellow man. You cannot say "It's too windy."

The BBC, dodging around, avoiding the problem!!!

If you remember, a couple of weeks ago I said that I was writing to the BBC because I was being hassled, threatened and abused by T.V Licensing, the company that they employ to ensure that everybody buys a T.V licence, whether they need one or not. Well, the Beeb have responded:

I didn't write to Gareth Brennan but I'm sure that he's doing his best. If you remember, I wrote to Zarin Patel, the lady who spent a fortune taking Capita, nee T.V Licensing on to threaten and abuse all the people that don't have a licence. Like me. Whether they watch the telly or not. But she is obviously much too important to deal with this minor nonsense. Either that or she is illiterate. I've written back:

 Ref CAS-1265088-68PXRG

 Dear Ms Patel

I wrote to you some time ago regarding Capita, trading as T.V Licensing, who continue to operate in an offensive, threatening and abusive manner – on your behalf. Gareth Brennan has suggested that I have to contact them directly but that is wrong, isn’t it.

You are the company that is paying them to operate in this manner therefore you are the guiltier of the two, in that you went out looking for a company to do the dirty work for you and I understand that you have kept them on for a second period. They obviously must have been fulfilling your requirements. As their employer, it is now you that I have to turn to because dealing with them is a waste of time. All that I have ever been told by them is that I have to inform them yearly that I still do not watch the television.

Wrong. I do not need to do anything and I certainly do not need to receive their red-lined threats.

What do you propose doing about it?

Yours faithfully

I wonder what will happen this time, will Zarin respond herself or will she fob it off again?

I'll keep you posted!!!

Another threatening letter

Capita, nee T.V Licencing have sent me yet another threatening letter. Discourteous at the very least, considering that, as I said a couple of months ago, I don't watch the telly and have no plans to either. Not in this lifetime anyway.

I have also provided that information to them, see T.V licence or no T.V licence but it doesn't stop them, they just carry on spewing out offensive garbage, on behalf of the BBC.

Time to forward it on to Zarin Patel, Chief Financial Officer of the BBC and let her deal with it. After all, I do believe that she had something to do with taking them on in the first place.

I wonder what chance there is of her doing anything useful about it. I'll keep you posted

BBC Weather

Just stopped by the BBC Weather site and as usual it was tremendous - if you speak either English or Welsh. If you speak either Scots, Gaelic or Shetlandic, and they are all areas covered by the BBC, then you're buggered. You can sit and look at the forecast, all the nice pictures etc and understand nothing.

Has the head of the BBC got a taff on the side because I can't think of any other reason to provide purely Welsh if English is not your first language.

Another reason that the telly licence is a waste of time.

Hillswick today

Hillswick today has been absolutely beautiful - mild, still and the sun shining on us at approximately 1.00 in the afternoon. What more can you ask for at this time of the year, apart, of course, from Ms Patel at the BBC getting rid of Capita. The Scottish North Harassment Division of T.V Licensing, nee Capita, have let me down again and not inflicted themselves, legally or otherwise, upon me because I don't have a telly licence. Wonder why that is. Not quite up to standard if they don't pester you and inflict themselves upon you with absolutely no justifiable reason whatsoever, is it?

A beautiful morning

It really is a beautiful morning today, sun up at about ten past nine and the wind down too. The wind is forecast to rise to approx 46mph at midnight tonight so it's well worth considering starting to prepare a cold New Years Day dinner today - while the power is still on.

It might not be on for long though. After all, there are no promises in life, are there!!!

Oh, and I've just realised, I'll have to get on to Ms Patel at the BBC. The Scottish North Harassment Division of T.V Licensing have sent no threatening letter today. Is that what is really paid for by the BBC, a half-done job of threatening people that don't watch T.V. After all, they are expected to do a full and complete job.

Zarin Patel, of the BBC

I popped around to Capita's site just now, to see what utter garbage they have been coming out with and I came across this on their page.

"Zarin Patel, BBC Chief Financial Officer, said: 'This contract represents great value for the licence fee payer. Capita's bid was the best both in terms of innovation and efficiencies and so offered best value for money. The success of recent efforts by the BBC and TV Licensing to encourage people to pay via Direct Debit and use self-serve channels such as the web has enabled us to re-structure the new contract to realise the savings benefits. Additionally, savings have been achieved by consolidating what were previously two contracts.'"

Let's be honest now Zarin, T.V License, nee Capita are harassing, offensive and obnoxious. I don't watch the telly but that doesn't stop them sending threatening letters, time after time after time. From now on, I think that I'll forward them on to you. I'd be grateful if you would justify each and every one that comes through my letterbox.

Yet more weather reports

More weather reports, telling us that it will be calming down and warming up but what is it doing when I look out the window? Yes, you're right, it's pouring down with snow. They say that it will get warmer all week. Is that BBC'ish for "Snow each day"?

Friday, 3 December 2010

What a disaster!!!

This morning they forecast it to snow around lunchtime - and it rained. That was that, day ruined, a twenty-four hour period of despair. What heartbreakers will they cast out now. If I came out with anything like that I'd be convicted of public abuse but them, they get away with it. We'll have the telly on again tomorrow and we'll believe whatever they come out with, regardless.

At least  Bert Ford got it right. But that shows my age so.....
